I'm normally a happy person choosing to see and appreciate JOY around me. I choose to see the positives and/or lessons to learn. I'm mostly cheerful, but can be serious and stern when I need to be which I'm glad is seldom for the most part.
I tend to be more of a night person, referring jokingly that I might still be on Hawaiian time even though I'm in the Eastern Time zone. I've become a DIY-wanna-be tackling some home improvement projects. Lowe's and Home Depot have become my new candy store, lol. Lately, I've enjoyed staying in more "diy-ing" as I've been traveling a bit recently to the Riviera Maya, to New York before that, but mostly to see and help with my granddaughter about a 2-hour drive away. When opportunities come and I'm up for it, I like to go dancing, enjoy music (R&B, Christian, Rock, Country, etc.), visit with friends at the local pub, and love to laugh from sitcoms, comedy shows, and observances around me.
I was born and raised in Hawaii, joined the USAF and served 20+yrs, met my ex in Texas (also served USAF 20+), and in 1997 moved our family to Zeeland, MI. I was fortunate having a second career as a Software Engineer specializing in database design. I enjoy learning and serving. I am thankful for vast opportunities, experiences, and places both my career choices afforded my life. I am even more thankful being blessed with two beautiful daughters (born '92 and '94) raised here and thriving in their adult lives. I love them dearly and would do most anything for them. However, I know I can't and shouldn’t live my life “only thru them”, so I'm creating my own path.
I'd love to find a partner that have similar values, zest for life, some travel, etc. My first deal breaker is finding a Christian man I can share my faith journey with. I am financially stable and want someone of the same. Living or willing to move nearby (as I would) is also important. I enjoy traveling, especially cruising. I do like the occasional dress up, but mostly enjoy evenings home or sometimes out having a cocktail or craft beer. I am seeking a HAPPY long-term committed relationship with a confident, affectionate, sensual, empathetic, generous, humorous man that wants to enjoy what life we have.
